GLOBAL TO LOCAL ( LSCM Customized Solution )( Case Study Inside )



On the same I would like to start with an example of famous  Food brand, who sells a different products in USA Market but sold some different product in Asian mkt. The brand sell Burger with Beaf and Pork but customized the same in Alu ( Potato ) Berger in Indian context to avoid any religion sentiments

The brand is extremely successful .

Like the similar way logistics solution need to customized as per needs.

If you consider the concept of Cross Docking as per USA standard or RFID to identify the product in warehouse , that might not be the solution of a clumsy warehouse in Indian concept.

To check the same different color packets for several dates can be a solution.

In global concept standard container size might be there but that might not be the solution as per your products , as some customized container can enrich some more values for your value chain.

Logistics solution will be as per ground realty , Recently I visited a case  where a FMCG organization is operating via warehouse in various place but its a huge costly and hazardous .

Some PTL ( Part Load Solution ) might be the solution  Direct to customer.

Stack height of a products is important, but if the cartoon strength can be increased full truck height can be utilized, Economy of scale.

B to B and B to C online platform is a new concept in many Asian market but the same is famous in 1st world country .

Here nothing to follow, only need to enrich your knowledge to know which get fitted & where.

Small but Imp case study 


In a food factory finished goods premises, complaint of theft is coming. The situation tired to address with extra security personnel but it was not solved due to huge area and not cost effective.

Manpower working if feels hungry taking materials from finished goods cartoon.

A solution given, a false CCTV camera installed and news circulated that the guilty person will be punished.

After the same with the help of false CCTV camera , the problem solved.

No institute will make you learn the same, but its a customized practical solution which work.

Existing way might not be the ultimate solution , think in some other way some better way might be there.

  The important question is to how to calculate freight cost ?  The distance from x to y certain transporter want x amount . The challenges in every day life of logistics dept is to reduction of freight cost. So the homework need to be done on How ? Lets took   example If it’s a daily route somewhat near to warehouse its better to use own or dedicated vehicle Good Service 24*7 availability Proper coordination If there is some return goods can be managed on same freight Points known so less chance in delay Only thing need to consider if paying on per km , need to calculate on variables ( Fuel Price Escalation , Maintenance etc ) But on the same scenario If it’s a far of place & frequency is less Up Down costing will be more Long distance time coordination will be a issue Frequency is less so liability will also be less. On any scenario need to calculate, but always if the service is own its better but on serviceability point not on cost always . WAREHOUSE CCTV

  In a warehouse CCTV is common, but the main requirement of CCTV is at the loading bay. Mainly a CCTV records a video. For Ex a materials send to a place and after unloading the customer complain that some shortage in the same. If the container seal is ok then the question arise ? Check the video on both end, a quality pic already recoded at the time of loading and unloading will clear all the doubts. In modern mechanism , a cctv can be used as alarm For Ex 1. Driver maintaining safety protocol or not 2. Vehicle condition 3. Theft & pilferage etc. 4. No of person present 5. Picking is done properly or not 6. Night vision also hep to work in low light.
