In our daily scenario of Indian context , dispatch we run after space to cater exact order to the customer. For Ex :- After receiving the order we assume a container space, if the order is more as per container space, order get cut or if the space remains it’s a loss.
Every container size is different and exact
excel calculation will not 100%. If need to wait for container vehicle to come
its waste of Time.
Time =
Money.
On general sense.
If the
order is low
- Ask sales person to increase the order to
maximize vehicle space utilization
- A full packed vehicle reduce damage
chance.
If the order
value is high
- Materials get billed as per space only, in
any ways more than 100 % loading not possible.
On the
following scenario I had found a solution up to a certain extend it can get
managed.
1.No Need
to run after sales
2. No need
to pressure sales to increase order
3 Force
Selling increase market return as % of expiry increase
4 In case
of advance payment, need to wait for customer for extra money or order.
5.
Reduction of ROI ( Return on Investment ) from customer point.
6. Value
reduction on 2nd order if the partial order get increase on 1st
order and again the cycle will start.
In transportation
market customized container is available ( As it’s a public platform, and my blog
is not sponsored ) I am not writing any name.
The concept
is the order for a particular consignment might not be a full standard
container ( 20 FT/ 24 FT / 32 FT). So What different size container is available
in the market . For Ex if 5 lac order = 20 ft, so my order value is 2 lac, I
will reqd a container of 10 to 12 FT, and in case its 7 lac, so a additional
small container will reqd.
Yes its available
in the market. All is to needed a proper knowledge of the container available in
the market .
