RE DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS Reverse Logistics


As the topic suggest a redistribution of the goods is beneficial for the organization.

Here I am not stating any primary or secondary billing, but to reduce expiry cost.

What’s will be the scenario ?

Lets took a example , A materials got billed and has been send to Mumbai super stockiest point depend on some demand projection, but its market and you never know what might affect the market sales demand, so don’t curse on Demand planning or data, Think in other ways of a holistic approach.

( As it’s a public platform, and my blog is not sponsored ) I am not writing any name. But in transportation market PTL transporter is easily available.

Just coordinate among the sales team , the product might get sold to Guwahati ( For Ex ) so just need to coordinate among the customer point. Materials will get lifted from Mumbai and will be delivered to Guwahati.

Benefits :-

  1. Damage Expiry cost reduction
  2. ROI of the customer not getting hampered.
  3. Product didn’t get wasted
  4. The product can reach what’s place it reqd
  5. Fair business policy can get implemented .


Just thinks on a holistic view , don’t run after additional freight , think about the whole scenario , ultimately the organization will win.

 In the ERA of Covid 19 pandemic, business down, people at home so all we need to think about some different structure altogether. I am working in Cake and Bakery unit, people will consume, but how the product will get cater to customer point directly. The solution we have arrived is to tie up with various courier service, For Ex :- Letter gets delivered then why not materials. If we get registered our product into any modern trade format 25% - 30% margin need to be assured from MRP + freight + Distribution cost. Altogether calculate and spend the money for courier service.
